In May 2008, a delegation of nine Indiana Disciples, including Indiana Regional Minister Rick Spleth and General Minister and President Sharon Watkins, traveled to the Democratic Republic of Congo. On this trip, a mission partnership between the Christian Church in Indiana, the Mbandaka District of the Community of Disciples of Christ in Congo (CDCC) and Global Ministries was born.
While in Mbandaka, Sharon Watkins, Rick Spleth, and Rev. ILUMBE Ndjongo, Principal Supervising Pastor (PSP) for the Mbandaka District, signed the Partnership Agreement.

Congo Connection!
An exciting curriculum for Vacation Bible School or Rotation Church School is now available for download. Developed by members of the Partnership Task Force and persons who made the Congo visit in May 2008, the curriculum is available for free to congregations of the Christian Church in Indiana.
