Strengthen the Mission of Indiana’s Disciples
The congregation is the center of our mission. In congregations people encounter Christ and go out to serve in our communities. But congregations can’t go it alone. Each congregation’s vitality is tied to the strength and effectiveness of the rest of the church. The mission of Jesus Christ is not only carried out on our doorsteps but also to the ends of the earth.
Last October, the Christian Church in Indiana gathered for Regional Assembly under the theme The Way of the Wilderness. Over 425 Indiana Disciples came together to renew ties of friendship and common mission. We acknowledged with boldness that things are changing in the church, but proclaimed with equal confidence our trust that God leads us through these days.

Because of the ministry we share young people are coming to faith in summer camps; ministerial students are receiving nurture and care; congregations are enabled to call new pastors; and congregational leaders are strengthened.
