Friday session for Ministers and Spouses

Friday’s sessions focus on personal finance and will be led by Cynthia Newman, former Director of the FLOURISH! Program. Part of the afternoon will be dedicated to Clergy Taxes led by Howard Bowers. Clergy Taxes are one of the areas of biggest financial concern for many pastors.

Saturday session for Ministers and Church Leaders

Saturday’s presenter will be Ted Waggoner, Indiana Disciple and the Indiana Region’s attorney. Ted’s subject matter is Finance and Law for 21st Century Pastors and Congregations to Flourish and will cover things like Church Financial Procedures, Tax Law and the Church, Security Issues. This is vital information for all congregations.

The Financial Literacy Academy is open to all clergy with standing within the Indiana Region and lay leaders from Indiana Disciples congregations. Cost to attend for those not covered by a grant will be $25 per person per day and includes meals (continental breakfast/lunch) and materials.

Registration deadline is April 22. The deadline for hotel rooms is April 4.

Those receiving a Flourish! grant receive free registration and lodging for the Financial Literacy Academy and are required to attend.
