Luke 10 Practice

After this the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them on ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself intended to go. (Luke 10:1, NRSV)

The Luke 10 Practice begins with an 18-month training process designed to guide congregations into a culture of missional transformation. The Christian Church in Indiana adapted this process from the work of the Roxburgh Missional Network.

Two groups of Indiana congregations have been trained and now continue their conversations and experiments.  This spring, the region is launching a third opportunity for a group of congregations to be equipped for this model.

Study Guide for Introducing the Missional Church

The book, Introducing the Missional Church, by Alan Roxburgh and Scott Boren, will acquaint congregations with the philosophy and concepts of the Luke 10 Process. Carolyn Reed and Greg Alexander have written a study guide to accompany the book. Reading the book as a group and using the study guide can help a congregation discern if they are ready to explore the Luke 10 Practice.
