The church is a network of relationships. It is an organization called together to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. In order to carry out its ministry effectively, the must manage its internal and external relationships with integrity.
In order to help churches study, understand and commit to ethical conduct in their relationships, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has developed Ethical Guidelines for Congregational Conduct. The document can be used as a basis for study and, much like the Ministerial Code of Ethics, can be signed as a visible commitment to ethical behavior in all the church’s relationships.
